Little Mountain is a rapidly growing family suburb. Many homes built in the late 1990s and 2000s still have electrical systems that were considered acceptable then — but fall short of today's safety standards.
Many Little Mountain homes have safety switches only on power circuits — leaving lighting circuits completely unprotected. A fault on an unprotected lighting circuit can cause electrocution with no safety switch to trip and interrupt the current.
